SARAJevo, (Patria) - The construction of joint hydro-energy facilities, primarily the "Buk Bijela" hydroelectric power plant, and the continuation of cooperation between Republika Srpska and Serbia in this field remain a priority, Minister of Energy and Mining Petar Đokić told Srna, following a meeting with the Director of Elektroprivreda Srbije, Miroslav Tomašević, in Belgrade.
Đokić stated that there are several joint issues and projects on which both Republika Srpska and Serbia will work diligently.
"To further continue intensively involving and leading activities on the construction of the joint energy facility, which is 'Buk Bijela'. Of course, we used today's meeting to discuss other possible projects that the electricity companies of Republika Srpska and Serbia would jointly implement," Đokić emphasized, as reported by Insajder.in.
He pointed out that in the coming period, it is necessary to improve cooperation with key resources - the two electricity companies.
"Tomašević has recently managed to fully stabilize Serbia's energy system, which is extremely important for us as well, because we constantly cooperate with Elektroprivreda Srbije and rely on each other," Đokić stated.
Đokić also announced a meeting with the Minister of Mining and Energy of Serbia, Dubravka Đedović, which would be a continuation of the talks and the process of implementing joint electricity-energy projects.
