Ejla Makaš brings BiH second medal at Grand Prix

(Patria) - The third competitive day at the European Grand Prix brought the second medal for Bosnia and Herzegovina, won by Ejla Makaš.

The representative of our country, with a bronze medal in the category up to 46 kilograms, completed a great day for Bosnian and Herzegovinian taekwondo, after Ada Avdagić and Benjamin Husić also won bronze medals today at the World Championship for under 21 years old, thus achieving the greatest success for taekwondo sport in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

A member of the Taekwondo Club Novi Grad, after an excellent performance at the Bosnia and Herzegovina Open, which preceded the Grand Prix, managed to lose three kilograms in just two days and compete in the -46 kg category.

A quality performance unfortunately did not result in a final, and a poor refereeing decision deprived our taekwondo athlete of the opportunity to fight for the gold medal.

The third day at the Grand Prix was fruitful for competitors from Great Britain, who won two gold medals, while representatives from Italy won one gold, three silvers, and one bronze.

The European Grand Prix, which is being held in our country for the first time under the technical organization of the Taekwondo Federation of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, concludes tomorrow.
