(Patria) - Two people were killed in a serious traffic accident that occurred today around 1 PM on the A1 highway between the Sv. Rok and Rovinjska junctions in the direction of Dubrovnik.
Croatian media report that a vehicle with Split license plates, for reasons yet undetermined, hit an embankment after exiting the Sveti Rok tunnel.
Traffic is being rerouted at the Sv. Rok junction via a detour in the direction of Dubrovnik.
Vehicles that are before the Sveti Rok tunnel in the direction of Dubrovnik will be guided over the overpass in the direction of Zagreb towards the Sveti Rok junction.
- Two people were lying on the road. It was terrible, it all unfolded before our eyes. I think they were trying to revive one of them. As far as we could see, two cars were destroyed - a witness to the accident told 24sata.
