DUBROVNIK: Waves swept a man from Bosnia and Herzegovina into the sea: Search underway in rough waters

(Patria) - A man from Bosnia and Herzegovina fell into the sea in Dubrovnik after waves swept him off the rocks while he was taking photos with his family at Buža, reports Dubrovački dnevnik.

A dramatic search for him is currently underway, hampered by weather conditions.

All emergency services, members of the Port Authority, police officers, and the Croatian Mountain Rescue Service (HGSS) were immediately dispatched to the scene. Citizen Dominko Radić also joined the rescue effort with his boat.

As confirmed to Dubrovački dnevnik by Port Captain Mato Kekez, the body was located in the sea, but due to extremely difficult weather conditions, they have not yet been able to retrieve it.

"The body was located about 400 meters in front of the Pile cove. We reached it earlier and it showed no signs of life. We are trying to retrieve it, but the sea is extremely rough," Kekez stated.
