SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Two Montenegrin ministers from the government of Dritan Abazović are attending the celebration of the unconstitutional day of Republika Srpska. They are Montenegro's Minister of Justice Marko Kovač and Minister of Finance Aleksandar Damjanović. They are sitting in the front row at the ceremonial academy in Banja Luka organized by the authorities of Republika Srpska on the occasion of January 9, the day of RS which the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina declared unconstitutional.
Minister Marko Kovač is a member of the Socialist People's Party of Montenegro, which is part of the ruling majority gathered around pro-Serbian parties and Dritan Abazović. His colleague Aleksandar Damjanović was also a member of the SNP, but is currently an independent appointee, reports Istraga.ba
Damjanović was appointed Minister of Finance in April last year on the proposal of the still current Prime Minister Dritan Abazović.
Minister of Justice Marko Kovač is one of the closest associates of Dritan Abazović, and together they prepared the fundamental agreement that the Government of Montenegro signed with the Serbian Orthodox Church.
Incidentally, during the day, the authorities of Republika Srpska, which organized the celebration of the unconstitutional day of RS, awarded the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
“Republika Srpska is especially grateful to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, who is a reliable support for RS. Thanks to the position of Vladimir Putin and the strength of Russia, the voice and stance of RS are heard and respected,” said Dodik while awarding Vladimir Putin.
We recall that Montenegrin Prime Minister Dritan Abazović himself was at the center of a scandal in July last year when, in his speech in Potočari, he relativized the genocide of Bosniaks in Srebrenica.
“Genocide was not committed against Bosniaks but against people, and it was not committed by armies but by politics, politics of evil, politics of death, and politics of deception,” Abazović stated at the commemoration of the 27th anniversary of the genocide of Bosniaks in Srebrenica.
After numerous reactions, Abazović apologized to the victims of the genocide.
