Drastic increase compared to June: Andrej Plenković's salary amounts to 5,685 euros

(Patria) - Salaries of high-ranking members of the Government of the Republic of Croatia have drastically increased since June, according to data from the latest property records.

These increases are the result of the Government's decision to raise the base for calculating officials' salaries, which has been equated with the base for civil servants and public employees, writes Index.hr.

The Prime Minister Andrej Plenković has the largest increase in income, whose net salary has increased by 2,423 euros compared to June last year.

Last year, his salary amounted to 3,262 euros, while he now receives 5,685 euros per month. In addition to his salary, Plenković's savings have also increased, which are 10,000 euros higher and now amount to a total of 230,000 euros.

Croatian Minister of Defense Ivan Anušić also records a significant increase in income. His net salary has increased by 2,328 euros in the past year, which is an increase of 77 percent.

Government spokesperson Marko Milić received a raise of 1,437 euros in the same period, meaning his salary increased from 1,836 to 3,274 euros, or by 78 percent.

The salary has also been increased for the head of the Prime Minister's Office, Zvonimir Frka-Petešić, who now receives 3,894 euros, while last year he earned 2,203 euros. His salary has increased by 1,690 euros in a year, which is an increase of 76 percent.

The new Minister of Health, Irena Hrstić, receives a net salary of 4,126 euros. Last year, in the position of State Secretary in the same ministry, she had a slightly lower salary - 3,991 euros.

The property record was also updated by the president of SDP, Siniša Hajdaš Dončić, whose salary increased by 1,913 euros and now amounts to 4,779 euros.

Damir Bakić, a Member of Parliament from Možemo, saw his salary increase by 1,732 euros, reaching an amount of 4,101 euros.

SDP's Peđa Grbin now has a salary of 4,117 euros, an increase of 1,708 euros.
