Đonlagić for NAP: Čović would be smaller than a poppy seed today if Dodik weren't in the Council of Ministers

(Patria) - HDZ BiH President Dragan Čović clearly expressed concern at today's meeting with political directors of the Steering Board of the Peace Implementation Council (PIC) about the political and institutional crisis in which Bosnia and Herzegovina

Čović, among other things, said at the meeting held in the building of BiH institutions in Sarajevo that "the main cause of the crisis is the Bosniaks who majorize Croats by electing two Bosniak members of the BiH Presidency."

However, in that context, during his five-minute address before PIC ambassadors, as well as the leaders of the two trios and HDZ 1990, he did not find it appropriate to mention RS President and SNSD leader Milorad Dodik even once.

Since the actors of the meeting from the "federal" Trio - Nermin Nikšić (SDP), Elmedin Konaković (NiP) and Edin Forto (Naša stranka) did not respond to such accusations, delegate in the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliament Dženan Đonlagić (DF) found it appropriate to react.

He clearly told Čović - "we will not accept you introducing unequal value of the vote."

"Political humiliation, harassment and labeling of Bosniaks has come to an end. It is not peoples who go to elections, but citizens.

This is also defined by the Dayton Constitution, and we will never renounce that right in the election of the BiH Presidency.

Citizens elect and will elect. What will happen, sooner or later, is the implementation of all judgments of the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg," Đonlagić posted on platform X.

In a brief statement for the Patria News Agency (NAP), Đonlagić said that the HDZ BiH leader intentionally and consciously introduced amendments to the Election Law in order to realize the political goals of exclusive election of a member of the BiH Presidency and to relativize Dodik's moves in destroying the state and its institutions.

- Čović protects Dodik's political shares so that his own do not collapse. It has been shown that yielding and ceding extra positions does not change his political agenda.

The separation of the strategic alliance of Čović from Dodik, as the Trio previously assured us, did not happen.

Not removing Dodik from power in January 2023 proved to be a strategic political failure of the Trio.
