Dodik's racism and Islamophobia are not incidents, they are a strategy!

(Patria) - Milorad Dodik's guest appearance on RTRs' morning program once again exposed a political practice that has long crossed the boundaries of decency, and even the law. In just one show, Dodik managed to exhibit racism (calling British Minister David Lammy a "black man"), spread Islamophobia, and incite ethnic hatred with claims that Bosniaks "were more with the Ustashas than Croats".

Ramiz Salkić, a representative in the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, rightly warns that such rhetoric is not a product of current nervousness or a reaction to his own conviction, but a long-term and consistent political project. A project with a clear goal of maintaining hatred, denying genocide, glorifying war criminals, and preventing societal healing.

This is not political "hysteria" but a systematic poisoning of public space, with the intention of consolidating divisions and making reconciliation impossible. When an ideological follower of the policy that planned and committed genocide targets victims as a threat, it is not only morally repulsive but also politically dangerous, as it opens the door to new crimes.

The absence of any institutional reaction to this level of hate speech is most concerning.

Without clear sanctions, such outbursts become normalized, and the public gets used to hatred being an acceptable currency for political survival.

Dodik's policy will not stop on its own. It is too consciously driven to disappear without a decisive reaction. Silence is complicity, and every new broadcast without consequences shows that institutions are willing to watch society sink deeper into divisions until we reach a point of no return.
