Dačić: Murder of a police officer a terrorist attack by Albanian structures from Kosovo

(Patria) - Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Internal Affairs Ivica Dačić stated today that "the murder of one and wounding of another police officer last night in Loznica is a terrorist attack coming from Albanian structures from Kosovo".

Dačić told RTS that it is being determined whether the attacker is the man whose ID card and passport were found in the car, or his brother who escaped from prison in Kosovo on July 6.

- He killed police officers, committed this obvious terrorist act coming from Kosovo by Albanian structures. This cannot be accidental, and therefore the Prosecutor's Office for Organized Crime will deal with this case, as it is an attack on a police officer on duty - said Dačić.

He once again expressed his condolences to the family of the murdered police officer and announced that he would visit the wounded one, and that he had spoken to him by phone.

Given that the attacker is on the run, Dačić emphasized that 150 members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, various units, helicopter units, special anti-terrorist units, Gendarmerie, border police, local police from the Šabac Police Administration and the Loznica police station are already searching for him.

He also announced that everyone who helped the attacker in any way will be arrested, and that the Ministry of Internal Affairs has contacted Republika Srpska in case the attacker crossed the Drina and fled to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
