Dačić on 'Severina case': She was neither detained nor arrested, nor denied entry into Serbia

(Patria) - "Severina was neither detained nor arrested, nor denied entry into Serbia," said Serbian Minister of Internal Affairs Ivica Dačić, speaking about the detention of Croatian singer Severina Vučković at the Serbian border with Croatia.

Dačić confirmed that the border police at the border with Croatia detained Croatian singer Severina.

“Severina was neither detained nor arrested, nor denied entry into Serbia, but she was detained for a check,” said Dačić.

According to him, due to all this, lists of entry bans into Serbia will be abolished.

He announced that he would request “the abolition of lists, when it comes to verbal offenses”.

“Serbia is a free country and we do not have verbal offenses; people who commit crimes, terrorism, and criminal offenses will remain on those lists. But let others not lecture us,” Dačić said.

According to Jutarnji.hr, Severina was stopped at the border at 7:35 PM and was scheduled to perform at a private birthday celebration in Serbia at 11:00 PM.
