Dačić from hospital: I have returned to life, I will be discharged for home treatment in the coming days

(Patria) - Serbian Minister of Internal Affairs Ivica Dačić addressed the public today for the first time since being hospitalized on February 25 due to severe pneumonia.

"I have returned to life. I am still in the hospital, but the medical council formed by Minister Lončar has informed me that I should be discharged in the coming days and continue my treatment at home. That dark day clearly showed me what and who my priorities should be.

The day I fell asleep on the verge of death, five days unconscious between life and death, and my awakening on the birthday of my late father Desimir, March 2nd", Dačić wrote on his Instagram profile.

He thanked everyone who prayed for him, wishing them all the best in return.

"Thank you to the wonderful doctors and medical staff of the Clinic for Pulmonology of the University Clinical Center. Thank you to those who were with me, and thank you to those who were not, because they helped me realize that they did not deserve my attention.

Thank you to my brother Aleksandar Vučić, my family, friends and party colleagues, state bodies, the church, all of you who prayed for the Lord to keep and protect me", stated Dačić.

In his post, he shared a picture from 15 years ago with Kemal Monteno, singing together.

"More than 15 years ago, Kemal Monteno and I sang his song together, which I never imagined I would live through. I have returned, life! Thank you to everyone who helped me not to be judged, because there is no death before Judgment Day. Thank you all", Dačić conveyed.

Let us remind you, Dačić was hospitalized on February 25 at the KCS Clinic for Pulmonology due to bilateral pneumonia and was on a respirator until March 2, after which his health condition improved. Four days later, he was transferred from intensive care to a ward.
