Montenegrin train driver stopped train and saved a woman who felt ill in her car

(Patria) - A train driver operating a freight train on the Podgorica - Nikšić line, near the Slap station, stopped the train and provided assistance to a woman who was in poor health in her car next to the tracks.

As he stated, during the drive, he noticed a passenger car parked right next to the tracks, which seemed suspicious and caught his attention.

He reacted immediately to avoid potential danger and stopped the train. He approached the vehicle and saw a woman in a very serious condition through the window, and immediately called the police and ambulance.

The train driver, who wished to remain anonymous, said that the competent services soon appeared at the scene.

The police secured the area, while the ambulance doctors quickly took over the woman who was showing signs of serious health problems.

"This heroic gesture has been praised in the local community, as well as among colleagues in the railway service. His composure and decisiveness at a crucial moment showed how vital people on the front lines of public services are, not only because of professional obligations but also because of humanity and readiness to help when it is most needed," writes the portal "Volim Danilovgrad".
