Montenegrins Trust Spajić and Đukanović the Most

(Patria) - Citizens of Montenegro have the most trust in Prime Minister Milojko Spajić (13.2%), according to a survey by Ipsos conducted in January, reports RTCG.

In second place in terms of citizen trust is former President of Montenegro Milo Đukanović with 6.5%.

The top five politicians most trusted by citizens also include Dritan Abazović (6%), the current President Jakov Milatović (4.4%), and Milan Knežević (4.2%).

Parliament Speaker Andrija Mandić enjoys the trust of 4%, and DPS leader Danijel Živković 3.8% of citizens.

Interestingly, one-third of citizens (33.2%) do not trust any political figure in Montenegro.

When it comes to ratings (from 1 to 5), the best-rated politician is Milojko Spajić, who has the most positive ratings. Milan Knežević is in second place, and Jakov Milatović is third.

Followed by Dritan Abazović, Milo Đukanović, Aleksa Bečić, Danijel Živković, Andrija Mandić, and Duško Marković.

Respondents gave ratings from one to five, where one and two represent negative, while four and five are positive ratings.

Regarding institutions, the Ipsos survey showed that citizens trust the Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) the most.

The SPC and the Army, which is in second place, are the only institutions with more positive ratings.

The top five institutions also include the Prime Minister's Office, the police, and the President's Office.

Interestingly, the worst-rated institutions are the Parliament of Montenegro, the judiciary, and political parties.

The Ipsos survey was conducted from January 9 to 19, 2025, on a sample of 1010 adult citizens.
