(Patrai) - Fires are raging across Montenegro, flames continue to threaten settlements and nature, although help is arriving from the region and Europe.
- We are tired, but there is no rest, fires are breaking out constantly and we must be ready to go immediately - one of the firefighters told Vijesti.
The most critical points yesterday were Budva and Bar (Buljarica and Čanj), and the fire is also burning in several locations in Podgorica (Kuči, Kakaricka gora, Piperi, Smokovac), as well as in Nikšić and Šavnik.
We remind you that yesterday was also marked by a tragedy in which 41-year-old junior sergeant of the Army of Montenegro Dejan Božović died after a tanker overturned in Kuči, while Marko Iković is fighting for his life.
Croatian and Italian water bombers are engaged in Montenegro, Serbia has sent a "Kamov" helicopter, and help from the Czech Republic and Hungary has been announced.
