Montenegro to close five negotiating chapters with the EU after all

(Patria) - Montenegro will close five chapters at the Intergovernmental Conference on December 16, following an intensive diplomatic mission by Prime Minister Milojko Spajić and his team, reports RTCG correspondent from Brussels.

As TVCG reports, all member states agree that Montenegro should close the planned five chapters.

Montenegro will close chapters in negotiations with the European Union: Chapter 3 (Company Law and Freedom to Provide Services), Chapter 4 (Free Movement of Capital), and Chapter 6 (Company Law). Although France blocked the closure of Chapter 11 (Agriculture and Rural Development) and Chapter 13 (Fisheries) at yesterday's meeting of the EU Council Working Party – COELA, as TVCG reports, member states will still give the green light for them.

Prime Minister Spajić, as announced, will arrive in Brussels on December 16, where he will speak with the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, at a press conference following the formal ceremony of closing the chapters.
