(Patria) - He was among the first to speak about the crimes of the para-state entity Herceg-Bosna, among the first to fight for those crimes to be punished. Professor Behdžet Mesihović recently opened up the story about the validity of the diplomas of the self-proclaimed legitimate leader of Bosnian Croats, Dragan Čović.
Professor Mesihović states in the introduction to his post - "I am not writing this out of fear, but out of unease".
"The doubts I will express are justified, but they are still just doubts, for which I believe evidence can be found. I doubt the authenticity of the diplomas for the master's and doctorate of Dragan Čović (DČ), where everything is somewhat similar to the diplomas of Ms. Sebija Izetbegović (SI). There are many such dubious diplomas, and it is high time that all such doubts are re-examined! The unease is justified if I consider the fact that we live in a completely disordered space full of dissatisfied and angry people! But, I am 82 years old and I don't have much time left. I am disregarding the unease and consideration for the angry, and with the motto: 'if TRUTH is not free, then FREEDOM is not true', I want to say what I think is the TRUTH!", Mesihović points out, reports Patria.
The first doubt he expresses: "In the last master's study at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, (that was the name before the war, and during and after the war when many names and laws were changed to make almost everything like in Zagreb) at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the University (formerly Džemal Bijedić University) in Mostar, I was in charge of the subject Numerical Analysis and Programming (NAIM). Mr. Dragan Čović, according to the dates in his CV, was supposed to attend classes and pass NAIM, but he never appeared in class, nor did he pass NAIM. I did not have an assistant for NAIM, so Mr. Dragan Čović could not complete his obligations for NAIM with another professor.".
Doubt number 2: "At the same Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, one subject was taught by, like me without an assistant, Prof. Dr. Sc. NN1, whom I know very well, because we, like many other university professors, were interned in Dretelj, Heliodrom, and other HDZ or HVO concentration camps (these two entities are completely consistent and jointly carried out their criminal acts in Mostar and Herzegovina and some parts of Bosnia), where we had time to get to know each other well. In February 2021, I met with colleague Professor NN1 in Veliki park, now it is, in Zagreb style, Zrinjevac park. When I told NN1 the reason for the conversation, the good man, with recognizable fear, asked for it to be a secluded place without people. It was cold and we didn't stay long, because NN1 has sensitive health, which is a consequence of internment in very difficult living conditions. To the questions of whether Dragan Čović attended and passed his subject at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, NN1 showed such panic that it was proof to me that my doubt was justified, because otherwise, my friend Professor NN1 would have simply, without fear, confirmed that Dragan Čović passed his subject at ME. At this event in Veliki park, one person was present, hereinafter referred to as XY, whom I partially informed about the reason for the meeting with NN1.".
Professor Mesihović's third doubt: "I met at the Bristol Hotel in Mostar with one of the professors and authorized persons from the current Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (formerly Mechanical Engineering) in Mostar. A positive, nationally completely unbiased man, hereinafter referred to as NN2, was in a good mood and we sat for a long time talking about past shared events related to life at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. I subtly steered the conversation to the career of academician Prof. Dr. Sc. and HDZ president Dragan Čović. NN2 was well-informed about it, especially regarding Dragan Čović's education at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, because he worked for a long time as vice-dean and dean at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Mostar precisely during the time when Čović was becoming a master and doctor of science at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. And I, in order to prepare for that conversation, carefully studied Dragan Čović's CV. Our conversation proceeded without a hitch. Disagreement arises when I ask NN2 about the title, or topic, of Dragan Čović's master's thesis.
NN2 claims he knows nothing about it, because Dragan Čović, as NN2 said, defended his master's thesis in Sarajevo. I do not contradict him, although I know from Čović's CV, and NN2 should also know, because he was an important person from the management of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at that time, that Čović, as written in the CV, available on Google, defended his master's thesis at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Mostar, not in Sarajevo. As you can see, the third doubt also has grounds, but it should be proven. The conversation I had with colleague NN2 was also attended by XY, who was also present at the conversation with NN1. I only partially informed XY about the purpose of my conversations with both NN1 and NN2, so he can be a witness, if necessary and if he agrees to reveal his identity.".
Mesihović further states, "As for my doubt, I have almost completely managed to suppress it, because any attempt to silence me, or to cause me any harm, would mean an admission that my doubts are true. And someone will be found who will use them to bring order to our Bosnia. Because disorder in Bosnia threatens to lead to disorder in the entire Globe, even greater than in Ukraine. Otherwise, if all doubts are not cleared and all suspicious diplomas are not re-examined, it will lead us to total chaos and meaninglessness!".
"I have been objected to that the three persons mentioned are designated with: NN1, NN2, and XY, instead of their real names. This was done because these three persons, at their own request, have the right to remain anonymous, so as not to be exposed to pressure and unpleasantness. And now tell me openly, what would someone who I whispered their names to, specifically gain?! Let me help you: they would only satisfy their curiosity and get an opportunity for gossip! And the arrogant nationalists, of whom there are very many, what could they do? - you answer that and don't ask me anything more, because I don't want this to turn into a quiz or gossip! Instead, without hesitation, pass it on, so that as many people as possible know about this", Mesihović concluded.
Incidentally, Mesihović has written several times that the president of HDZ BiH used him as slave labor without his consent to work in the Soko aircraft factory on several occasions in July and August 1993.
