Čović with Milanović on Amendments to the Election Law of BiH

(Patria) - President of Croatia Zoran Milanović spoke today with the President of HNS and HDZ BiH Dragan Čović.

Čović informed Milanović about the positions of the Croatian National Assembly of BiH and HDZ BiH on the current political and security situation in BiH.

The position of HNS and HDZ BiH, it was stated at the meeting in the Office of the President of the Republic, is that it is necessary to preserve peace and stability in BiH, ensure the functioning of BiH institutions, and continue the process of European integration of BiH.

In this context, he emphasized that for the functioning of BiH institutions, it is necessary to guarantee the equality of all three constituent peoples in BiH, which also means changing the Election Law that will ensure "legitimate representation of Croats in all BiH institutions, which is not the case today".

Besides Milanović, the meeting was attended by the representative of the Office of the President of the Republic Orsat Miljenić, and besides Čović, there was also a representative in the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH Darijana Filipović.
