
(Patria) - Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia Andrej Plenković met today with the President of the Croatian National Assembly of BiH and Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples of the BiH PA Dragan Čović.
As announced by Plenković after the meeting, at Croatia's initiative, the upcoming EU Council meeting will discuss the situation in Southeast Europe, with an emphasis on BiH.
"We will continue to strongly support BiH's European path, in which it is important to calm political tensions and accelerate reform efforts. In particular, it is necessary to reach an agreement regarding amendments to the election legislation in order to ensure the equal status of the three constituent peoples and the functionality of the country," the statement reads.
Plenković stated that the priority of the Government of the Republic of Croatia remains the implementation of all projects that contribute to a better quality of life for the Croatian people in BiH and better connectivity between Croatia and BiH.
