(Patria) - The story about the concession of Sarajevo International Airport, which has been in the public spotlight in recent days, was very concisely explained in just a few sentences by Albin Zuhrić, delegate in the House of Peoples of the FBiH Parliament.
"Who cares what Novalić planned for the airport! Novalić is the former prime minister, he does not make the decision on the 'sale' of a successful airport, the Trojka does. If he planned it, he planned it poorly, but that is irrelevant today. Nikšić essentially wants to tell us, I will now make a catastrophic decision, but the previous prime minister also intended to do the same," Zuhrić wrote.
This is not the first time that the new FBiH Government has referred to the decisions or conclusions of the previous FBiH Government, all in order to hide behind decisions that are increasingly less understood by the public. A similar story applies to the borrowing of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Energy is a separate story.
Nikšić, Adnan Delić, and Elmedin Konaković are competing in creating video materials in which they present documents from 2020, but interestingly, they only highlight what can absolve them in the eyes of the public! They skillfully avoid the very next sentence, because they clearly have no intention of accepting everything from the document, but only what suits them in the given circumstances.
Thus, Nikšić, upon reviewing the document "Economic Stabilization Program 2020-21 and Assumptions for 2022," saw the strategic commitment of the then Government to find a concessionaire for international airports in the Federation as soon as possible.
"The second activity of strategic importance will be air traffic. Within this, the fastest possible finding of a concessionaire for Sarajevo International Airport, Mostar Airport, and Tuzla International Airport will be considered, as well as finding a strategic partner for the construction of Bihać Airport, which is of exceptional importance for the development of tourism, as the third activity of strategic importance. Tuzla International Airport has great potential for further development of cargo traffic. In the next budget rebalance, plan incentive funds for all airports, and additional funds for operational costs for three airports (Sarajevo, Mostar, Tuzla)," the document states.
However, he omitted the very next, very significant paragraph, not only for the Federation of BiH, but for the state of BiH. It talks about the Forestry Law, which the current FBiH Government hardly mentions, because Dragan Čović does not want it to.

"Adopt the Forestry Law as soon as possible (with a defined priority for final processing), but also introduce a special fee on the export of unprocessed timber. The goal is to provide domestic producers with the necessary raw materials and conditions for creating new jobs in the furniture industry as an activity of strategic importance," the Economic Stabilization Program 2020-21 states.
And precisely on this example, we see the weakness of the government.
The Forestry Law has become a thought, and behind it all is Dragan Čović, whom Nikšić, unlike Novalić, does not stop mentioning, nor dares to mention, nor his cadres, even though he is nominally their boss.
