CEC certified the candidacy of SDS - People's Will, but under a different name for the elections

(Patria) - The Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina has certified the candidacy of the Serbian Democratic Party – People's Will for participation in the upcoming Local Elections. After eliminating deficiencies or irregularities, the CEC certified the applications of 22 more political entities.

At the last session, the CEC refused to certify the application of the political entity Serbian Democratic Party for participation in the elections because they did not have an open account, which was closed due to American sanctions. SDS submitted an account of a natural person, which the CEC could not accept.

SDS previously filed an appeal because their application was rejected, and the decision of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the appeal is pending.
