Bosnian Chef Hamid Hadžić Awarded Knight of Cuisine of Southeast Europe

Sarajevo chef Hamid Hadžić received the award International Knight of Cuisine of Southeast Europe at a recent event in Belgrade, organized by the International Center for Tourism and Hospitality Development SACEN International, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

- This is a great recognition for me. So far, I have won numerous awards not only in Bosnia and Herzegovina but also in Europe, but this one has a special weight – says Hamid Hadžić, a member of the gastronome association “Bh. gastro kutak” and head chef of the hotel “Holiday”.

As part of the campaign, the International Tourist Patrol SACEN International, in addition to Serbia, visited numerous other countries such as Turkey, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Croatia, Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Tunisia, Malta, and Greece, after which an international expert jury selected the best.

Winners were announced in 14 categories, and two special awards were given. According to the president of SACEN International, Dragan Gligorijević, a strict rule was followed to evaluate the results from last year, illustrating this with the Chinese saying that “it doesn’t matter how fast you could run once, but how fast you can now.”
