Barbarez satisfied with a point: Regret for the win remains, but 1:1 is a realistic result

(Patria) - The head coach of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national football team, Sergej Barbarez, stated after the draw with Canada that the result is realistic, that this is a good point for us ahead of the further stage of the competition, and that we should try to win the next matches against Switzerland and Qatar.

"Whenever you lead with ten minutes to go, there is regret for the win, but we were lucky, we have to be realistic, so 1:1 is a realistic result. For us, this is a good point for the further stage of the competition," Barbarez said after the match.

"Certainly, this opens the door for us towards advancing; we are not after the first match in a position to calculate, but we should try to win the next matches and then we will see what happens."

There was also talk about our striker Jovo Lukić, who managed to score the first goal for the Dragons at the World Championship.

"Every player has his task, all 27 who are here have their task and that is why they are here. It's great when someone repays you on the field, but they all repay in principle. The goal is important for Jovi because he is a striker and he lives off that," added Barbarez.

The Dragons play their next match on Thursday, June 18 at 9:00 PM against Switzerland.
