Bar: Man linked to criminal group killed

(Patria) - A man linked to an organized criminal group was killed in the center of Bar this morning, according to information from the Police Directorate (UP). As RTCG Portal learns, it is about Edmond Mustafa.

The UP announced that one person has been apprehended and is undergoing detailed checks on suspicion of being connected or could be connected to the commission of this criminal offense.

According to unofficial information from the police, an as yet unknown person fired shots at a male individual near a commercial bank. After firing the shots, the attacker fled on a motorcycle from Marshal Tito Street.

Following the report of the incident, the city was immediately blocked, and the police are undertaking extensive operational-tactical and technical measures and actions to determine the circumstances and shed light on the event.

"In the initial response measures, one person whose identity is known to UP officials has been brought to the police premises, and detailed checks are being conducted on them on suspicion of being connected or could be connected to the commission of this criminal offense," the Police Directorate stated.

Officers from the Sector for Combating Crime have placed all available resources at the disposal of the Regional Security Center South in terms of human resources and technical equipment to conduct investigative measures and actions towards proving and clarifying this criminal offense.

The investigation will be led by a prosecutor from the Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica.
