Plane from Dubai lands in Tivat, among 138 passengers are citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina

(Patria) - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Montenegro announced that a plane with 138 passengers, which took off from Dubai this morning, has successfully landed at Tivat Airport.

"The evacuation flight was realized thanks to the excellent coordination of the Government of Montenegro, Fly Dubai company, and the Embassy of Montenegro in Abu Dhabi," the MFA statement said.

In addition to citizens of Montenegro, passengers from Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, North Macedonia, Italy, Greece, the USA, Turkey, and the Republic of South Africa were also on this flight.

Countries in the region are actively working to organize evacuation flights to bring home citizens stranded in the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar, and other countries in the Gulf and the Middle East amid the escalation of conflict following US and Israeli attacks on Iran.

Israel and the US launched a joint military operation against Iran on Saturday, citing what they described as an imminent threat.

Tehran, invoking the right to self-defense, responded with drone and missile attacks on Israel and US facilities in several Gulf states, prompting several countries in the region to temporarily close their airspace.
