(Patria) - A plane from Dubai with 200 Serbian citizens, as well as several foreign nationals, landed at Belgrade airport this morning after 6 AM, after flights between the United Arab Emirates and Serbia were suspended due to tensions in the Middle East.
This is a Flydubai airline plane.
Meanwhile, Emirates airline announced that it is resuming a limited number of flights.
"Priority will be given to passengers with existing bookings, and those who have been rescheduled to these limited flights will be contacted directly by Emirates," the statement said.
The company appealed to passengers not to come to the airport unless they have been previously notified, adding that all other flights remain suspended until further notice.
Flights were canceled during the US-Israeli military campaign launched on Saturday against Iran, which killed several high-ranking Iranian officials, including Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
In response, Tehran retaliated with drone and missile attacks on Israel, as well as on several countries in the region where US military facilities are located.
As reported by RTS, two more flights from Dubai to Belgrade are expected during the day.
