Zdjelar was driving a BMW at high speed, which crashed into a truck on the highway, and a child was also in the car with them.

A few hours before the accident, he posted a video on his Facebook profile showing him speeding in a BMW on the highway, and it can be seen that he was driving over 200 km/h.

In the video, turbo-folk music can be heard loudly in the background, and it is raining outside. In one part of the video, Zdjelar greeted his friends and informed them that he was going to a christening.

The video was recorded between 2:30 PM and 2:45 PM, which corresponds to the time of the accident, as the accident was reported at 3:00 PM.

The portal 24sata writes that Zdjelar caused another fatal traffic accident in 2019.

In the village of Kovačevac near Nova Gradiška, as the driver of a van, he lost control of the vehicle, uncontrollably crossed to the other side of the road, and hit a concrete bridge. A man and his pregnant wife died at the time.

(Patria) - Croatian police today released details of a terrible traffic accident that occurred yesterday on the A3 highway, between the Okučani and Novska junctions. The crash occurred when a 24-year-old young man hit the back of a truck with his vehicle.

The driver and a 20-year-old female passenger from the car (both Croatian citizens) died at the scene, and their bodies were transported to the Sisak General Hospital for autopsy, while the child was seriously injured.

The investigation at the scene was led by the Deputy County State Attorney at the County State Attorney's Office in Sisak, in cooperation with police officers from the Sisak-Moslavina Police Department.

From 3:20 PM to 5:30 PM, the northbound lane on the section from the Okučani junction to the Novska junction was closed to all traffic, and traffic was diverted via alternative routes, according to the Sisak-Moslavina Police Department.
