(Patria) - An organized criminal group from Belgrade, with strong tentacles in BiH and Tirana, was preparing an assassination attempt on former Montenegrin President Milo Đukanović, Pobjeda learns.

A source from the very top of the security sector, who spoke to this media outlet, did not want to specify which criminal clan was preparing the assassination attempt on the former Montenegrin president.

"It is one of the strongest criminal organizations from Belgrade, known for organizing murders, which has extensive tentacles in all countries of the region, as well as Western Europe and South America. The information about the preparation of the assassination attempt on Đukanović is credible," said the source from the very top of the security sector for Pobjeda.

(Patria) - Former Montenegrin President Milo Đukanović has informed Montenegrin authorities that he received information that an assassination attempt is being prepared against him, it was announced

Sources from Pobjeda say that Đukanović informed the security sector and the authorities, which in this case could be the Police Administration, the Prosecutor's Office, or the ANB.

"The former president received the said information from certain international officials from the intelligence community and informed state authorities of that information," was the response from Đukanović's office to the question of whether anyone from the security sector had informed him that his safety was compromised, i.e., that an assassination attempt was being prepared against him.

A source close to Đukanović told Vijesti that a high-ranking foreign military official from Kosovo informed him that an organized criminal group from a neighboring country allegedly plans to carry out an assassination, in collusion with the security services of another neighboring country.

The Police Administration stated that it is not aware of the information published on the Vijesti portal, which was confirmed by the cabinet of the former Montenegrin president.
