Albania took the lead with the fastest goal in Euro history, but Italy quickly turned it around and eventually celebrated

(Patria) - The Italian national team defeated Albania 2:1 tonight at "Signal Iduna Park" in Dortmund, in the first round of Group B of the European Championship being held in Germany.

Albania took the lead in the 23rd second of the match through Nedim Bajrami, which is also the fastest goal in the history of the European Championships.

Bajrami unexpectedly found himself in a goal-scoring opportunity after stealing the ball that Dimarco threw out during a throw-in.

The Albanian midfielder literally hammered the ball from close range behind Donnarumma's back.

However, the Italians equalized very quickly, through Alessandro Bastoni in the 11th minute, and then took the lead five minutes later through Nicolò Barella.
