Dodik hasn't given up on anticonstitutional referendum: 1,219,399 on the voting lists

Republic Committee for Referendum has verified a total of 1,219,399 citizens of the Republika Srpska on the voting lists. This number includes the citizens of Brcko District who posses entity citizenship of the RS.

Brcko citizens will vote on the territory of Bijeljina town and in Donji Zabar. Voting materials have been sent to the printing shop, and by Tuesday, all municipal committees will receive the material. Referendum for the RS citizens about the Day of RS is scheduled for 25 September.

The referendum constitutes an antidayton and anticonstitutional move of President Milorad Dodik and National Assembly of the RS, which has sent the message that it does not respect the BH Constitutional Court.

Members of the Council for Implementation of Peace in BiH (Russia withheld the opinion) urged the RS government to refrain from holding the referendum, while the High Representative Valentin Inzko told Dodik that he 'plays with fire'.

Serbia's officials have also stated that they do not support the referendum.
