Following a decision on his suspension, BH Chief Prosecutor Goran Salihovic released a statement:
Dear Citizens:
Following the decision of the disciplinary commission, which stipulates that it did not take into account evidence or any other relevant facts, I would like to say that I will file a complaint on that decision.
I would also like to say to the citizens and the public that I am ready for any kind of court proceeding by the state prosecution as I am fully confident in the correctness and lawfulness of my decisions. I'm requesting the proceedings to be conducted publicly so that everyone can see that the case was fabricated and set up.
It is important to note that I was not given a possibility to respond to the allegations cited in the proposal for suspension. I was neither given that right nor an access to the evidence, which, obviously, the disciplinary commission did not consider, as it was said in its decision.
I also want so say that I will make use of all available legal instruments to discover the truth behind this.
In all this, it is not about Goran Salihovic or the chief prosecutor, it is about protection of the rule of law and prevention of an attack on judiciary and the state, Salihovic said in his statement.
