Huskic: BiH is one of the key foreign policy priorities of Croatia and Serbia

There doesn't seem to be any calm yet after the storm caused by the visit of Croatia's Bozo Petrov and Miro Kovac to Stolac.

There doesn't seem to be any calm yet after the storm caused by the visit of Croatia's Bozo Petrov and Miro Kovac to Stolac.

Croatian delegation paid the visit to this BH town outside of any protocol, following on the interruption of municipal elections on 2 October due to an incident at one of the ballots. 'Initiative for Stolac' movement condemned the Municipal Organization of HDZ Stolac for 'electoral theft'.

- Our visit to Stolac is a proof that we care about Croats in BiH, that we will protect them yet steering clear of interfering with the political processes in BiH, minister Kovac said to journalists after his meeting with the mayor of Stolac, Stjepan Boskovic.

The visit of the high delegation from Zagreb to Stolac to give public support only to Croat people, was evaluated by many as meddling of the official Zagreb with the politics in BiH.

- Regardless of what is at the root of the problems in Stolac and who is to blame for it, I have the need to react to this peculiar formulation, which we often get to hear from Belgrade. Having said that, the neighboring countries do not meddle yet BiH is one of the key priorities of their foreign policy. While I do not dispute the wish of both kin-states to care for 'their people' in BiH, why the need to point out (every time) that Zagreb and Belgrade will not meddle with internal issues of BiH, Adnan Huskic, political analyst says.

- How could Kovac say he 'would not meddle' when he was speaking from Stolac, Huskic adds.
