(Patria) - Despite the possible, not small, daily family, business or personal problems and difficulties arising from the current pandemic, but even without it, we should be aware that we are called
and indebted, as Christ's disciples and collaborators, not to lose hope or love for God's family work which definitely started on Christmas night, that is, according to His, guaranteed love, care
and mercy, said the Bishop of Banja Luka Franjo Komarica.
This is the message of the Bishop of Banja Luka on the occasion of the upcoming Catholic Christmas, a holiday that, according to Komarica, many people may welcome in anxiety, and
perhaps grief over the greater or lesser consequences of the COVID pandemic.
‘Let us not allow any fears, anxieties, uncertainty, illness or even closeness to death, to steal our right to our spiritual joy and peace of mind in the coming days of celebrating the beginning of
our redemption - the birth of Jesus in the night of Bethlehem’, Komarica said in his Christmas message.
‘Let us not allow any earthly idols and demagogues to capture us so much that we fear them more and obey them more than the little divine Child, Christmas, the only Savior of us and all
mankind, the divine Peacemaker, Jesus Christ. Let us put ourselves in the future as well, until the end of the earthly pilgrimage, at his exalted and peaceful service and walk together with him and
his brothers and sisters, that is, the members of His Church, through salvation and eternal happy life along 'the road of peace and love', open at all times to give help to all our other fellow
citizens and contemporaries’, Komarica pointed out.
According to Bishop Komarica, the news of the birth of Jesus Christ is ‘the happiest, most reliable, most comforting and most needed news for people of all times and all nations: God, the
Creator of all, has definitely entered our human personal and common history. No one and nothing will ever be able to exclude, remove Him from it!’
‘This means that both in our time and in our living environment, God is incarnate among us, Lord of heaven and earth, and Savior of all nations, all people of all classes, races, all kinds of
influences and all reputations and positions’, said Bishop.
He wishes a Merry Christmas and a New Year 2022 with the abundance of God's blessing and peace.
Bishop Komarica also congratulates the Christian brothers and sisters who celebrate Christmas according to the Julian calendar with the traditional congratulation ‘Peace of God! Christ is born’.
