Political Alchemy of Dragan Covic

Media campaign, if not propaganda, concerning the necessity of changes to the Electoral law BiH run and forced by Dragan Covic, has crossed tolerance threshold. It is unacceptable to make any connection between BiH's road to Europe and the Electoral law. Equally unacceptable is for representatives of the ruling coalition to block the state only for sake of their own internal issues.

As far as I have understood, vital national interest of the Croats in BiH as Dragan Covic sees it, is endangered by the fact that the Croats have to believe Bosniaks when they say that they will not be selecting the representatives for them – the Croats. Perhaps the situation, if seen like this, gives the right to Covic to dispute the Electoral law.

Having said that, Covic himself is dividing the Croats; there are the A Group Croats and B Group Croats. Covic may as well be close to devise a formula for 'Croat issue', however, the existing of 'backwards' and 'cumbersome' social concepts (such as democracy, law, freedom, ethnic affiliation, individualism, active and passive electoral law) are an obstacle to the implementation of such solution.

It is important to emphasize that other nationalists and partners of Dragan Covic, the esteemed bearers of high governmental positions, Bakir Izetbegovic and Milorad Dodik also divide the members of their nations into the groups A and B. So, Serbs from group B live in Federation BiH, while the Bosniaks from group B live in the RS and small number of them in Herzeg-Bosnia.

All these people from the 'formula', the members of group B are 'unequal' vis a vis those from the group A.

Considering that my personal view is limited by the abovementioned social concepts (democracy, law, and freedom, ethnic affiliation, and individualism, active and passive electoral law), for which I beg your pardon, but I'd like to propose a different implementation of the 'formula': All citizens of BiH are in group A and they live in one country. To prevent violence of one group over the political will of another groups and vice versa, we need to introduce a few rules.

First, the political position that Covic belongs to, has to introduce in the law a regulation which obligates the citizens of BiH to vote. In addition, those same 'positioners' have to introduce fierce sanctions for non-compliance of such regulation.

Second, regulations about extraordinary elections must be integrated into the law, which will enable citizens to express their dissatisfaction in a formal manner.

Third, the voting must be organized electronically (e-voting).

Electronic voting is the best mechanism for implementation of Covic's formula and the solution for 'Croat issue'. In this way, the Croat representatives in the government will be elected only by Croat citizens of BiH in whole of BH territory. The same would be achieved with regard to the representatives of Serbs and Bosniaks in the government. Such procedure would ensure that the nations are represented by the people that the citizens vote for.

By the way, election turnout would be far higher and we would not have to listen explanations of all kind of analysts and politicians as to low turnout.

That's how Alija's Serbs, Croats, Dodik's Muslims, Croats would all disappear. There will not be any longer fake moralists and everyone would have to stand behind his own vote – by his name and last name, as we all want RES REPUBLICA, publicly and transparently that is.
