Propaganda machinery of Dodik's RTRS: 102 Bosniaks killed in Prijedor?

A scandalous and shameful TV report about marking of the Day of White Ribbons on 31 May in Prijedor was broadcasted on RTRS's news last night. RTRS is under direct control of the existing regime and Milorad Dodik. 

RTRS is known for their endless attempts to prove that crimes were not committed in many towns of BiH. They also try to relativize them such was the case with Srebrenica – in spite of all verdicts of The Hague and national courts, they keep trying to deny genocide in every possible way.

Propaganda machinery in RS proved that once more last night.

Herebelow transcript of last night's TV report broadcasted at prime time 19:30:

- Citizen initiative 'Because I Care' supported by Bosniaks associations in Prijedor organized the Day of White Ribbons in remembrance of 102 Bosniaks killed during the war. They are requesting a monument to be built for them. During a peaceful walk down the main street of Prijedor, they wore white ribbons and laid roses on the city square.

- Former spokesman for The Hague Court Florence Hartman participated in the gathering. She took part in a similar gathering in Banja Luka.

The report concealed the fact that 3.176 were killed in Prijedor and its vicinity, of which 102 were children. It is for these children that a monument is being requested, but municipal government of Prijedor headed by Marko Pavic keep rejecting the proposal. Naturally, there was no mention of it in the last night’s report. 

What report also failed to mention was the number of mass graves dug up until now. On the Day of White Ribbons, the BH Court released 12 men indicted for war crimes in Zecovi where more than 150 Bosniaks were killed.

As much as propaganda machinery of RTRS may endeavor to diminish crimes by spreading lies, there are witnesses of crimes committed in Prijedor, there are survivors of Omarska, Keraterm and Trnopolje concentration camps, and there are hundreds of graves where victims of crimes lay. The truth cannot be concealed, even when public media such as RTRS owned by Dodik try to do that.
