Zrinjski defeated Borac in Banja Luka

(Patria) - One of the derbies of the 24th round of the WWin League of Bosnia and Herzegovina between Borac and Zrinjski was played at the "City Stadium" in Banja Luka.

The first and second-placed teams in the standings entered the clash in different moods. Borac wanted to definitively resolve the championship title with a win, while Zrinjski wanted to leave at least some chances for defending the title with a win.

The match started very openly and actively on both sides. In the 12th minute, Hererra shot from a free kick from the edge of the penalty area, but the ball went over the goal. In the 19th minute, Blagaić shot wide after a counter-attack.

This was followed by a period of play in which Zrinjski established control, and even dominance over the course of the match. In the 34th minute, Milošević saved Ćuzeta's shot after a good solo run, and five minutes later, the guests crowned their good play with a goal.

Kiš brilliantly set up Ramić, who scored from eight meters to make it 0:1.

In the 42nd minute, Kiš shot well again, but the ball went over the goal. That was all in the first half.

The second half of the match started as the first one ended. Zrinjski continued with offensive play, and it paid off in the 50th minute. Ćorluka jumped in front of Vuković, headed the ball to Kiš, who played it right to Malekinušić, and he, in the middle of the penalty area, found Kiš again, who scored to make it 0:2.

In the 58th minute, Ramić brilliantly broke through to the hosts' goal line, but the Borac defenders cleared his cross in time.

Both coaches then tried to refresh their teams with substitutions, and in the 69th minute, we saw an excellent chance for the hosts. Vranješ shot well with his head after Hererra's cross, but Marić, with extreme effort, cleared the ball for a corner, after which Vranješ headed again, but wide of the goal.

The end of the match brought us new substitutions, but also futile attempts by the home players to reduce the deficit.

However, in the first of four minutes of added time, Borac reduced the deficit to 1:2. Čelić scored after Jurilj's free-kick cross. That was all we saw from both teams in this match.

Borac will visit Velež in the next round, while Zrinjski will host Zvijezda 09.
