Zrinjski celebrated in Banja Luka and closed the gap to Borac to three points

(Patria) - Mostar's Zrinjski defeated Borac 1-0 away today in a postponed match of the 3rd round of the Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Already in the 7th minute, the Plemići seriously threatened the Banja Luka goal. Pranjić nicely set up Šakota, who from just ten meters shot over the entire goal.

Two minutes later, Borac had their first chance. Hrelja tried, but his attempt went over the goal.

After that, Jojić had two excellent chances. The first time, from a good position, he missed the entire goal, and the second time, Savić intervened on the goal line.



Towards the end of the first half, Savić had no luck. He shot, but the ball hit the post, and the teams went to the break without a goal in the net.

Also, towards the end of the first half, Bilbija had to leave the game due to injury, which was a big blow for the Plemići.

Right at the start of the second half, Zrinjski was awarded a penalty. Grahovac brought down Ivančić, and Ljajić pointed to the spot.

After a somewhat longer VAR check, Šakota took responsibility. His first shot was saved by Šiškovski, but the ball rebounded to Šakota, who was precise on the second attempt.



After exactly an hour of play, Savić tried a shot from long range. It wasn't bad at all, but Sajko saved it.

Ten minutes later, Grahovac also tried from distance, but again Sajko was in the right place and made a good save.

In the 73rd minute, Savić received a second yellow, i.e., a red card for a tackle on Juričić, leaving the visitors with ten men on the field.



With a man advantage, Borac attacked Zrinjski's goal with all their might. Chances by Juričić, Jakšić, and Rogan stand out, but there was no change in the score.

With today's victory in Banja Luka, Zrinjski closed the gap to just three points behind Borac in the Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina standings.
