Zrinjski defeats Radnik and comes one step closer to a new BiH championship title

(Patria) - The 30th round match of the WWIN League of Bosnia and Herzegovina between Zrinjski and Radnik at the “Stadion pod Bijelim brijegom” has concluded.

At the end of the match, the players and fans of Zrinjski had far more reasons to celebrate, as they secured a convincing 5-0 victory, bringing them one step closer to a new championship title in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Zrinjski imposed themselves as the superior opponent from the very beginning. The first chance of the match came in the fourth minute when Kiš hit the crossbar from over 20 meters. In the eighth minute, Topić shot but the Radnik goalkeeper saved, and in the 11th minute, Kiš shot wide from a free kick 30 meters out.

In the 16th minute, Zrinjski took the lead when Dujmović headed in Ivančić's cross for 1-0. Just three minutes later, it was already 2-0, with Pranjić capping off a great play by Zrinjski.

In the 24th minute, Josipović saved a good chance for Zrinjski at the last moment in front of his goal, and in the 31st minute, Bilbija mishit the ball after Memija's cross and shot over the goal.

Zrinjski players continued to dominate and tried to find, primarily, Bilbija with crosses into the penalty area, but Radnik's defense managed to clear those chances in front of their goal. On the other hand, we didn't see much from the visitors until the 40th minute when Mamić reacted at the last moment to Grabež's cross towards Todorović and cleared the ball for a corner. The first half ended like this.

The second half continued in the same vein as the first. Zrinjski imposed themselves as a completely dominant opponent from the start of the second half.

This paid off in the 52nd minute when Kiš shot from 18 meters after a good play, and the ball deflected off a visiting player, deceiving the goalkeeper and ending up in the net for 3-0.

In the 57th minute, Savić's header after a corner went over Radnik's goal.

In the 59th minute, Zrinjski scored their fourth goal of the match. Dujmović tried to set up Bilbija, the ball deflected off Maričić to Kiš, who brilliantly got rid of his marker and routinely scored for 4-0.

Only in the 62nd minute did we see signs of life from the Radnik team when Krajišnik shot from 20 meters from a free kick, but Karačić was safe in goal.

In the 72nd minute, Zrinjski scored their fifth goal. Savić ran well onto Malekinušić's cross and beat the visiting goalkeeper from ten meters for 5-0.

It was already clear at that point that both teams would be eagerly awaiting the end of the match, and before that, we only saw one more attempt from Topić in the 88th minute when he sent the ball over the goal from 15 meters.

In the next round, Zrinjski will visit Posušje, while Radnik will host Borac from Banja Luka in Bijeljina.

Tonight at 18:30, the match between Sarajevo and Široki Brijeg is scheduled, while at 20:45, the match between Borac and Velež will be played, in which the team from Banja Luka will try to keep their title dreams alive with a victory.
