Young Dragons led twice in Zenica, then lost to Montenegro

(Patria) - Bosnia and Herzegovina's U-21 national team was defeated today in a friendly match at the NS/FS BiH Training Center in Zenica by Montenegro with a score of 2:3.

The guests had the first chance in the 6th minute when Medo Juković tried an unobstructed shot from the edge of the penalty area, but was not accurate.

Amar Milak gave the young Dragons the lead in the 20th minute with an excellent shot from distance. Five minutes later, Montenegro equalized, with Balša Mrvaljević scoring.

In the second half, BiH took the lead again in the 48th minute. Kerim Alajbegović got rid of his marker on the right side of the opponent's penalty area and accurately shot into the far corner of Montenegro's goal for 2:1.

In the 58th minute, Balša Vukotić sent a return pass from the right side to Aleksa Četković, who sent the ball into the net from about ten meters, leveling the score.

The guests turned the score around in the 65th minute, with captain Viktor Đukanović scoring from a penalty.

In stoppage time, the Young Dragons could have equalized, but the ball went just over the crossbar after Irfan Ramić's shot from about twenty meters.

- I would like to congratulate Montenegro on the victory. We did not play well today, we entered the match without energy.

At times, we had the game we had prepared, and then we created situations where we could threaten the opponent.

With these two tough tests we had, we were able to see what we have - said coach Vinko Marinović after the match.
