Dragons minimally defeat Bulgarians at Grbavica

(Patria) - The Bosnia and Herzegovina U-21 national team defeated the Bulgarian selection 1-0 today in a friendly match at Grbavica in Sarajevo.

The BiH team took the lead in the 16th minute. After a good play by Muamer Hamzić from the left side, the ball was sent into the opponent's penalty area, and Tarik Šikalo scored the goal.

In the 24th minute, Hamza Jaganjac fought well for a shooting position from the edge of the penalty area, but the Bulgarian goalkeeper Aleks Bozhev was alert.

The guests responded in the 32nd minute when, after a corner from Nikola Iliev on the right side, Kolojan Kostov headed the ball wide.

In the second half, the Bulgarians threatened first when the shot of substitute Robert Raychev was saved by Tarik Karić.

In the 72nd minute, Iliev tried from a favorable position, but Karić was once again alert.

In the 77th minute, Irfan Ramić had a good opportunity, but the Bulgarian goalkeeper was also successful and cleared the ball for a corner.

The guests finished the match with one player less, as Martin Georgiev received a second yellow card in the 88th minute for a foul.

A minute later, Albin Omić had a chance, but he did not shoot well from five meters, and Bozhev caught the ball.

- I congratulate the players on the victory. They were good and disciplined on the field, they did what we asked of them.

We also created several more chances, and we can be satisfied with what the guys showed today against Bulgaria - said coach Vinko Marinović after the match.
