Dragons defeated by Belarus in Zenica

(Patria) - The women's "A" national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina was defeated tonight by Belarus with a score of 1:2, in a friendly match played at the NS/FS BiH Training Center in Zenica.

The BiH team had their first chance in the 5th minute. After a corner kick from the right side by Nina Brnić, Marija Ana Milinković was the highest in the jump, but sent the ball wide of the goal.

In the 9th minute, Marija Aleksić shot over the goal from about twenty meters. The guests responded in the 19th minute when Anastasiya Shlapakova shot from an angle on the right side past the far post.

The captain of the BiH team, Milena Nikolić, shot excellently from a distance, but goalkeeper Marya Svidunovich cleared the ball for a corner.

Belarus took the lead in the 36th minute. After a cross from the right side, Viktoriya Valiuk hit goalkeeper Položen with her first attempt, and sent the rebound into the net for 0:1.

In the 50th minute, Sofija Krajšumović hit the post on the right side. Nikolić ran onto the rebound and scored a goal that was disallowed for offside.

The guests scored their second goal in the 59th minute after a counter-attack, which Anastasiya Shlapakova finished with a precise shot.

Bosnia and Herzegovina reduced Belarus's lead in the 79th minute when Milena Nikolić reacted excellently to a cross from the right side by Andrea Čule and scored with a header.

The BiH team had more chances in the second half, and Nikolić missed the best one in stoppage time when her shot from the six-yard box was stopped by Svidunovich.

Selver Hodžić's team will play a friendly match against the Greek selection on December 2nd at 1:30 PM in the Zenica Training Camp.
