Dragons train in San Marino, Barbarez full of optimism ahead of Saturday's match

(Patria) - The senior national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina arrived in San Marino today where they held an official training session ahead of tomorrow's World Cup qualifier.

Before the training, a press conference of the BH team was held, with head coach Sergej Barbarez and Adrian Leon Barišić addressing the media representatives.



- I said at the very beginning that I am more than satisfied with the form and performance of the players at their clubs, including the goalscoring aspect. We had seven or eight players who were scorers last weekend.

From that side, I certainly have a smile on my face. Preparations are going well, sometimes even too well, so one gets carried away with some optimism. That's me and that's our attitude to take care of these things.

My job is to deal with all matches. We have our plans and ideas and we hope they will bear fruit. Let's leave maybe a surprise for tomorrow. Without three points tomorrow, the match on Tuesday won't mean as much to us - said Barbarez.



The stadiums in San Marino and Zenica are sold out, and BH fans believe in the national team again. Journalists asked him what message he has for them?

- I am glad that we have re-entered that emotional connection to fill the stadium. It is evident that people who love this country and the national team recognise our path. It is always up to us, what we show on the pitch is transmitted to the fans - added Barbarez.

Adrian Leon Barišić says he feels good, that the national team players have trained well and are ready for the match against San Marino.

- The first match against them was tricky, but now we have no excuse. I think the June date was a problem, that date can be quite tricky.

You yourselves saw the temperature at which we played. We learned our lesson and three points, and I believe that tomorrow it will look much better - added Barišić.
