The Dragons are gathering, first training tonight in Butmir

(Patria) - The national football team of Bosnia and Herzegovina is gathering today in Sarajevo where they will conduct the first part of their preparations for the upcoming two matches this week.

Sergej Barbarez's squad will play a World Cup qualifier against Cyprus in Larnaca on October 9th, and three days later, a friendly match against Malta in Ta’ Kali.

The first training session will be held at 5 PM in Butmir, and it will be open to the media for 15 minutes.

On Tuesday, the Dragons will give statements at the Malak hotel at 1:30 PM, while a training session is planned for 5:30 PM on the same day at the Asim Ferhatović-Hase stadium, which will also be open to the media for 15 minutes.

After five matches, our national team holds the first place in Group H of the World Cup qualifiers. The Dragons have 12 points with a record of four wins and one loss, and 11 goals scored and three conceded.

Austria is second with the same number of points but with one game less, which is certainly not in our favor. However, the good thing is that we still have everything in our own hands when it comes to the fight for first place, which guarantees direct qualification, regardless of the September loss to Austria (1:2).

Romania is third in the table with seven points, followed by Cyprus with four, and San Marino last with no points.
