Dragons complete training, ready for match with Hungary

(Patria) - The Bosnia and Herzegovina "A" national team completed their official training today in Butmir ahead of the match with Hungary within the UEFA Nations League A.

Bosnia and Herzegovina has met Hungary five times so far. Two of the matches were friendly, and three were official. Hungary has achieved two victories, while three matches ended in a draw.

The first two encounters between these selections were friendly. At the "Albert Florian" stadium in Budapest on March 10, 1999, the match ended 1:1. Bosnia and Herzegovina took the lead with a goal by Meho Kodro in the 39th minute, and Béla Illés equalized for Hungary with a penalty in the 65th minute.

The second match, played at the "Bilino Polje" stadium in Zenica on February 28, 2001, also ended with the same result. Ferenc Horváth scored in the 13th minute to give the Hungarians the lead, and the final score was set by the current coach of our national team, Sergej Barbarez, in the 22nd minute.

As part of the qualifiers for EURO 2008, Bosnia and Herzegovina hosted Hungary at "Bilino Polje" on September 6, 2006. The guests won 1:3. Zvjezdan Misimović scored the only goal for the Dragons from a penalty in the 64th minute, while Szabolcs Huszti from a penalty in the 36th minute, Zoltán Gera in the 46th minute, and Pál Dárdai in the 49th minute scored for Hungary.

The return match was played at the "Sóstói" stadium in Székesfehérvár on September 8, 2006, when Hungary won 1:0 with a goal from Zoltán Gera from a penalty in the 39th minute.

Bosnia and Herzegovina met Hungary within the UEFA Nations League A at the "Puskás Arena" on September 10 this year, and that match ended 0:0.

The match Bosnia and Herzegovina-Hungary is scheduled for October 14 at 8:45 PM at the "Bilino Polje" stadium in Zenica.

The main referee will be Anthony Taylor from England, assisted by his compatriots Gary Beswick and Adam Nunn. The fourth official is Darren England, while David Coote and Constantine Hatzidakis will be in the VAR room.
