(Patria) - The Bosnia and Herzegovina basketball team faces an important duel in the fifth round of EuroBasket qualifiers against Cyprus.
Adis Bećiragić's selected players will play the match in Tuzla, confirmed for N1 from the Basketball Federation (KS) of BiH.
The Dragons compensated for the 13-point deficit from Zagreb with a fantastic victory over Croatia in Skenderija 110:90, and will face the qualifiers' outcome with everything in their hands.
The information about moving the match from the capital of BiH to Tuzla's Mejdan hall was confirmed by the general secretary of KSBiH, Dževad Alihodžić.
- We reached an agreement with Skenderija to move the match to Tuzla because they have been extremely fair to us all these years.
During the scheduled time of the match against Cyprus, ice needs to be installed in the Mirza Delibašić hall for a hockey competition - Alihodžić explains.
A victory over Cyprus should not be in question, while a defeat for Croatia against favored France would secure our basketball players a spot in the EuroBasket.
In case both BiH and Croatia achieve home victories, Musa and company would need an away win over France in the last round of qualifiers to secure qualification.
There are also scenarios of losing points against Cyprus, but that, to be honest, is hard to expect.
We remind you, three teams qualify for the European Championship, and given that Cyprus as the host directly secured participation, Croatia is in the worst position.
The match at Tuzla's Mejdan is scheduled for February 21, while three days later the Dragons travel to France.
