Golden Ball goes to Ousmane Dembele, PSG best club

(Patria) - The Ballon d'Or gala ceremony was held in Paris tonight.

The most prestigious individual award in world football went to Ousmane Dembele, who plays for PSG.

In the women's category, the award was won by Aitana Bonmati, a member of Barcelona and the Spanish national team. She made history as the first woman with three Ballon d'Or awards. All three came in a row.

The Kopa Trophy for the best young players in the men's and women's categories was awarded to Lamine Yamal and Vicky Lopez from Barcelona.

England coach Sarina Wiegman received the Johan Cruyff Award for best female coach, while PSG strategist Luis Enrique was chosen as the best male coach.

The best goalkeeper in the world is Gianluigi Donnarumma, currently a goalkeeper for Manchester City, who won the Champions League with PSG. Hannah Hampton from Chelsea won the Yashin Award in the women's category.

The Gerd Muller Award for best scorers was won by Ewa Pajor from Barcelona and Viktor Gyokeres, now a striker for Arsenal, who won the award while playing for Sporting Lisbon.

The award for best women's club was won by Arsenal, and in the men's category it is PSG.

The Socrates Award, which goes to someone who has made significant humanitarian contributions, was awarded to the Xana Foundation, named after Luis Enrique's late daughter. She lost her battle with cancer in 2019 at the age of nine.
