Zerina Vrabac wins gold in Belgrade

(Patria) - Young BiH swimming representative Zerina Vrabac won a gold medal tonight at the Central European Championship for cadets held in Belgrade.

A member of the Sport time Swimming Club from Sarajevo and one of the currently best young swimmers on the Old Continent triumphed in the final race in the 200-meter butterfly discipline.

She left representatives from Hungary and Romania behind.

Zerina recently won gold at the Komen Cup in Cyprus (Mediterranean Championship), and now, with the brightest medal won in the Serbian capital, she has masterfully rounded off an excellent current season for PK Sport time, which has once again justified its reputation as the biggest nursery of top swimmers in BiH and beyond.

- We are proud and happy. This is truly the icing on the cake of the PK Sport time season, but also a great motivation to continue the upward trend of pushing the boundaries of good results on the international stage in the period to come.

After winning over 250 medals at BiH national championships, breaking over 15 national records from cadet to senior categories, winning gold medals at the Mediterranean Cadet Championship, and reaching semi-finals and finals of the European Senior and Junior Championships this year alone, this medal from Zerina shows exceptionally dedicated work.

The medal is the result of a long-term program that the club implements, with the ultimate goal being the Olympic Games in Los Angeles, where our aim is to have not just one representative with an A standard achieved - said the head of the professional staff of PK Sport time, Evelin Avdić.
