Women's handball team qualifies for Euro qualifiers

(Patria) - The senior women's handball team of Bosnia and Herzegovina has qualified for the 2026 European Championship qualifiers after tonight's victory in Mejdan over Great Britain with a score of 25:15.

Previously, the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina defeated Estonia 31:20 on Friday.

Tonight's match opened with goals from Jasmina Osmanović and Martina Pandža, but the guests turned the score to 2:3, and had a two-goal lead twice at 6:8 and 7:9. Only at the end of the first half did the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina confirm their quality, and the first half ended with a lead of 12:9.

In the second half, the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina quickly increased their lead, reaching a double-digit difference of 22:12 in the 50th minute.

The rest of the match was a routine completion of the task, and Adnan Bašić's team celebrated with a final score of 25:15.

The most effective players for the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina were Azra Topčić with seven, Isić with five, and Pandža and Azra Letić with three goals each.

For Great Britain, Kesserling scored four, and Haidi Warren scored three goals.

The national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina has qualified for the 2026 European Championship qualifiers, and it is also important that after eight consecutive losses, two victories have been recorded. The draw for the qualifiers will be held on March 20 in Romania.
