(Patria) - Željezničar played a good match away to Zrinjski, but lost 2-1 due to amateur reactions from their defense.
Before the match, news arrived about indiscipline in the Željezničar camp, so names like Joey Konings, Aleksandar Boljević, Ismail Oualad M’Hand, and Collin Seedorf were not even eligible for the match, writes Faktor.
Their absence did not significantly affect the Blues' team, at least not in the first half, as the visitors held their ground very well.
Željezničar entered the match with an open stance, and their better play was crowned in the 21st minute when Rakić scored after a nice move.
Zrinjski started to wake up after that. The hosts threatened through Bilbija, while Šakota had the best chance for the hosts in the first half with a header.
The Blues were close to doubling their lead at the end of the first half when Jaganjac's shot went just wide of the goal.
The second half began with the hosts equalizing. In the 52nd minute, Bilbija capitalized on a poor reaction from Odinak and Alić, hammering the ball into the net.
Željezničar managed to balance the game afterwards. However, in the 76th minute, a cardinal error by Muftić, who dropped the ball, it went through his legs, and Mikić scored for Zrinjski's lead.
The visitors from Sarajevo tried to equalize in the remainder of the match. Karamarko had a chance at the end with a header, but Ljubić saved it. In the end, the score was 2-1.
With this victory, the Nobles took first place in the table, while Željezničar is now on a streak of three league matches without a win, and city rival Sarajevo is right behind them.
