(Patria) - Sloga's footballers inflicted Željezničar's heaviest league defeat of the season in the BiH Premier League today at the Luke stadium in Doboj.
The home team triumphed with a score of 4:2 and ended a streak of four consecutive league defeats, writes Faktor.
Sloga took the lead in the 23rd minute with a goal from Toni Jović from a penalty. Previously, after a set-piece in the penalty area, visiting goalkeeper Muftić and home player Ristić were in a duel.
Muftić fouled Ristić, referee Martinović received a call from the VAR room to review the situation, and after going to the monitor, the referee from Čapljina pointed to the spot.
After conceding the goal, Željo had ball control, but Sloga managed everything well.
Some refereeing decisions caused nervousness on the visitors' bench, and in the 31st minute, coach Denis Ćorić received a direct red card.
Nine minutes later, Sloga doubled their lead. Omić scored effectively from about thirty meters.
The team of Nedim Jusufbegović took a two-goal lead into halftime, and it only took three minutes into the second half for Sloga to find the net for the third time past Muftić.
The hosts capitalized on a misunderstanding between Muftić and Karamarko, and in the end, Popara scored accurately from the edge of the penalty area. Ten minutes later, Ovčina escaped the Željo defense and scored against his former club.
By the end, the visitors managed to reduce the deficit and score two goals. In the 70th minute, Dangubić was accurate from a penalty awarded after Varga handled the ball in the penalty area. Referee Martinović used VAR assistance for this decision. In the 82nd minute, Karamarko headed the ball past Pavlović for the final score.
Sloga celebrated their fourth victory, while Željo left the field with their heads down for the fourth time this season.
In the next round, Željo will host GOŠK, and Sloga will face Široki Brijeg.
