Željo takes all three points from Mostar, match marked by a large number of red cards

(Patria) - Sarajevo's Željezničar defeated Velež 1:0 away tonight in a chaotic derby of the fourth round of the Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Velež started the match better. Already in the sixth minute, the hosts were awarded a penalty.

Seedorf brought down Šarić, referee Gigović initially did not call anything, but after reviewing the footage, he changed his decision and pointed to the spot. Ziljkić placed the ball on the spot and shot over the goal, reports Faktor.

In the 27th minute, the Rođeni were reduced to ten men. Željo quickly took a free kick from midfield, the ball was played into space for Cvetanoski, who was running away from Hrkać, and the latter brought him down as the last defender.

Initially, Hrkać received a yellow card, but after intervention from the VAR room and a review of the footage, Gigović overturned the caution and sent off one of Velež's best players.

Željo threatened seriously for the first time in the 37th minute. Alić fired a rocket from a free kick, and Karić showed his goalkeeping abilities with a brilliant save.

In the 44th minute, Erick caught a volley after a cross from Alić from a corner, but the ball went wide of the goal.

Just before the break, in the sixth minute of stoppage time, Velež received another red card. Šarić struck Karamarko without the ball, an offense Gigović did not forgive.

The festival of red cards continued at halftime. A scuffle broke out in the tunnel, and when the match resumed with a delay, it became clear that Karamarko and coach Adžem had been sent off for Željo.

However, Željo still had a numerical advantage and started the second half better.

In the 54th minute, Karić saved the net after an awkward intervention by Pidra, and a minute later, substitute Šukilović threatened dangerously from distance.

In the 58th minute, Velež's net bulged. Erick scored a wonder goal. Even the in-form Karić could do nothing, except to add a save to the Brazilian's masterpiece.

Just two minutes later, it could have been 1:1. Dogan shot, but the ball went just wide of the post.

Velež also threatened in the second half through Babić and Dogan, but there was no change.

For Željo, this is their second win of the season. The Blues have eight points after four rounds. Velež suffered their second defeat and remain on four points.

Let us also mention that Rudar secured their first win of the season tonight. The Prijedor side, in front of their home fans and for the first time under floodlights, defeated Radnik 1:0.
